The WireFlow VoltDrain system is a robust, modular solution designed specifically to facilitate the safe discharge of electric vehicle (EV) batteries in recycling and discharging facilities. It offers a comprehensive, turnkey approach for discharging EV batteries by providing all the necessary equipment within a containerized format. Its ease of use, modularity, and emphasis on safety make it an ideal choice for operations looking to efficiently manage the discharging process while minimizing installation complexity and cost.
Whereas the benchmark WireFlow Bifrost series offers advanced, regenerative solutions for performing both characterization (such as SOH measurements) and complete discharge of EV batteries for recycling), VoltDrain is designed specifically for discharging EV batteries only to offer a price competitive, safe, turnkey and plug-and-play solution to all battery recycling centres or discharging facilities.

WireFlow’s VoltDrain system is an all-in-one discharging solution which includes all you need to start or scale up a battery discharging process. Based on availability of space or consideration of discharging volume, you can select between our 10 ft or 20 ft container solutions.
- Each container is delivered fully prepared with a safe discharging technology, ensuring quick setup and ease of use.
- The systems require only a standard 230V power outlet, ensuring effortless installation and allowing flexible placement either outdoors or within your facility to best suit your operational needs.
- Designed with versatility in mind, the system supports multiple EV battery types and offer a hassle-free and plug-and-play solution for diverse application.
Each turnkey VoltDrain solution includes the following:
- 10ft or 20 ft container
- PC running HMI
- Multi-channel discharge equipment including battery connectors and WF current control modules
- Integrated IR cameras
- Gas detectors
- Installed heavy-duty shelf
VoltDrain is modular which means that you can add or remove any of the components above based on your needs.
