WireFlow is a partner of National Instruments for integration, expertise and support
National Instruments has over the past 40 years created an entire eco-system consisting of modular test systems, software development tools, instrument drivers, partner networks etc, with the goal to help companies all over the world to create their specific, customized systems.
At WireFlow we are dedicated to this eco-system, and have long experience of delivering services and systems to our clients. As an NI Alliance Partner we have the capacity to take on the complete task to deliver a fully integrated and validated turn-key system at your doorstep.
We provide everything from detailed system design and hardware customization to scalable test platforms and on-site training.
It could, for example, cover:
- System design
- Low level software implementation
- Implementation of application protocols
- Development of customized hardware
- System validation
- Test-case development
- GUI’s
Etc.

Customized electronic off-the-shelf products
At some point you may run into a situation where you will not be able to set up the system you need, just using of-the-shelf products. You may need some kind of signal conditioning, or specific I/O connectors, or some switching logic, or… something else.
WireFlow has a passion and long experience for developing custom electronics, especially within the National Instrument platforms.
This means that we have the experience and capacity to design the customized electronics you need, for example:
- Mezzanine-boards for Single-board RIO
- Carrier-boards to SOM
- Custom C-series modules
- FlexRIO-adapter Modules – FAM
- Custom PXI-boards
- Signal conditioning boards
If you would prefer not to take all the responsibilities that comes with the ownership of the product, you don’t have to. We can take care of manufacturing, maintaining, stockholding etc. so that you can buy more whenever you need, just as if it was a customized off-the-shelf product.

Advanced Sensor simulation – off-the-shelf and customized products
WireFlow have a long history of designing and manufacturing software-controlled sensor simulators. We have off-the-shelf products for different resistive sensor simulators and we have experience in making customized sensor simulators for advanced sensors that uses built-in signal processing. If you have a sensor you need to simulate, please contact us to see if we can help you with a custom solution.
LabVIEW consulting by NI certified professional instructors
For a company developing products, test and validation may feel like a secondary activity. The insight of the importance is there, but the focus and motivation are on developing, optimizing and perfecting the design of the product. To set up an effective, scalable and configurable test environment that can follow the product roadmaps, is a challenge. If done well though, this may result in a test-platform that will grow with the company for a long time.
WireFlow is at your service
The engineers at WireFlow have a long history of helping companies when they need to beef up their organization with expertise regarding the National Instruments products and development tools like LabVIEW. We also have proven capability to develop customized hardware, implement embedded systems and help clients integrating their products, etc.
Be it a short, intense re-enforcement to strengthen a specific project, or longer assignments to, for example, help your company with its strategic test platform development and processes, WireFlow is at your service.
WireFlow have NI certified professional instructors, which means that we are authorized by National Instruments to teach NI courses. We can for example give courses for your staff at your premises or any location of your choice.

Quality Assurance of massive LabVIEW SCADA System
A supplier of machinery for the energy industry who was developing a massive SCADA system in LabVIEW, felt they needed to get assurance that the system was of good quality and was ready for 24/7 operation before delivery to the end customer.
Enabling Maritime Sensor Fusion Inventions
This study describes a project that WireFlow executed for a client who developed a new generation of maritime sensors built on MEMS-technology, rugged form factor, computational power and high-end sensor fusion algorithms. They wanted to do it fast, and they wanted WireFlow to design the systems backbone.
Continuous Development of Test and Validation Lab at Company Developing Biometrics
The customer in this study is a market leading manufacturer of biometric sensors found in millions of phones all over the world. Testing and validation were performed in an ad hoc manner, as was the implementation of the test platform.
Sensor Simulation for ADAS Testing
Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) are introducing new challenges for the automotive industry. To verify that ADAS functions are safe before being used on the road, extensive testing must be performed in lab environment. WireFlow was contacted by a world leading car manufacturer to investigate the possibility to simulate multiple parallel IMUs over high speed Serial Peripheral Interfaces (SPI). By using National Instruments CompactRIO System on Module (SOM) together with LabVIEW FPGA, WireFlow was able to develop such an IMU simulator.
ECU Prototype Test System for Thermal Power Control
Azelio is working on new ways to store renewable energy, so it can be made available when it is most needed. They combine the well-known Stirling engine, with an innovative Thermal Energy Storage using the phase changing characteristics of a metal alloy, to recover the energy during the dark hours. During the development they needed a flexible testbed for RnD and validation.
Extending the capability of VeriStand with a “Custom Device”
A Wireflow customer, working in the automotive segment, wanted the possibility to stream UDP-data in both directions between the VeriStand-system and the remote devices. This meant that they needed support for this in their VeriStand platform, and they turned to WireFlow for help.
